Here I am again. Sorry I've been so tardy in posting but I've been busy since the last post and I have lots of excuses: Christmas, Granddaughter visiting, visiting family for Christmas, Guild Program Committee work, and yes, quilting. I'm finally going to show my Celtic Letter. It's a pattern by HDD Designs and I love it.
I couldn't believe how fast it worked up. I may have to make some gifts of these. I've had it framed and will hang it, just don't know exactly where yet. Since moving here, we haven't hung any of our pictures but now that our new furniture has arrived, we can start. Perhaps a good Sunday afternoon project.
I've also had a very big job to do and got it started over the holidays. Just the borders to add and it's ready for the quilter. Will do that tomorrow. Show and tell later.
My granddaughter didn't want to sew this holiday season as she usually does - she just wanted to lay around and vegetate, so, that she did. We enjoyed our time with her and look forward to our next visit.. Will have some fabric ready just in case.
It's been really cold and snowy here so it's nice to stay inside and sew. Next, though, I have to tackle tiding up the sewing room and getting rid of a pile of "stuff". I did take a few days and went through a large box of scraps. Some got cut into strips to do string quilts. I've really gotten interested in them after seeing Bonnie Hunter's over at Quiltville. What a great blog that is!!!
I also cut squares and have a set of plastic drawers I got at Jo-Ann's that are nearly full now. Guess I'll just have to get another set of drawers because I have a very larger hamper of scraps yet to cut. It's a big job to get the backlog done, but my scraps will be much more manageable once it's done. I've gotten the Accuquilt 2-1/2" square die and will get it going very soon. Wonder if I can catch up on the mystery quilt our Guild started in September????
Well, I'm off now - chat soon..
Can't wait to learn how to make this....Chris D
